"Do any of these ideas involve not blowing us all to hell?" Jarion inquired, "If so I imagine I would like it quite a bit."

Boomer looked back at Metal Man and shrugged. "Um... at least one of them does... but no matter which way we look at this, there will be explosions in our near future and immediate vicinity." She stepped around the creature and peer closely at the item on its... back? front? middle? top? ... and took a deep breath. "I might be able to rig something like a delayed fuse, because as it is, it's rigged to blow almost immediately upon tampering." Turning to face Jarlion, she sighed. "Which is precisely what we intend on doing."

She continued her pacing, and muttered under her breath, "If only we had some sort of delay timing device... or a Holocaust Cloak. Or even a wheelbarrow..."

This was taking too long. Far too long, and the longer it did, Sayana was getting nervous. Usually she was cool and cold, but this was a situation she had not began and was not in control of. It all depended on Tav right now, and currently not a lot seemed to be happening. Was this the right scientist, and if it was, did he have some kind of defense to make him impervious to the Twileks charms? This whole thing began to look as if it was going south real quick!

Shadow carefully stayed closed hoping nobody would talk to the now unconscious bodyguards who were sitting and leaning against the wall. If someone did..things would heat up really quick..

Boomer looked at him, then down at the chip. She appeared to be either assessing or reassessing something with respect to him and searched his face for deception or another possible threat, and she saw none. He would need it back... and if Boomer's plan didn't work out, no one would need anything back. Um, ever.

"Thanks," she said simply. No sarcasm, and no witty repartee. Just an acknowledgement of one member of the team willing to place himself at risk for a plan that she was concocting on the fly. "I'll get this back to you." Sliding her miniature tool kit out of her belt buckle, she began to work on the delicately balanced equipment. "Either this one or an upgrade," she said, beginning to splice some of the minute wire couplings to the existing circuitry balanced on The Professor's back?torso? unnamed body part that would suffice to exist without description?... "Your chip is going to make this remote delay trigger better than anything the Empire might have had planned." Her face lit up in an uncharacteristic grin.

"We might just be able to pull this plan out of our collective asses," she said, and went back to working. "I've got this," she said, a bead of sweat breaking out across her forehead. "Tranceiver," she murmured, and let the implication hang between them. Tapping the back of her sleeve against her head, she felt the wetness absorb into the fabric. Idly, she considered incineration of their uniforms to remove all traces, but perhaps it might be better if some parts might be discovered singed, or burnt beyond all recognition. Once the explosions had been set, of course and destroyed the fleet of ships that were a threat.

"You think the Empire might be looking for a bunch of Rebel scum that appeared to have perished in their own explosive scheme?" The smile was in her voice as the evil gears within her head started building up momentum. "Just... thinking out loud..."

Boomer's tongue was stuck out of her mouth as she worked, and she spoke to the timing chip as though it was a creature all on its own. She had ceased to hear anything but the workings of her inner mind, and the whirring of the mechanism she was painstakingly trying to bypass. There was a click, inaudible to most that weren't expecting such a thing, but she wouldn't have been surprised if all of them heard it. "There," she said, coming back to herself and looking back at Harvey.

"Um... you need some hand-eye coordination to do this?" Boomer asked with some concern. "Because, if you do... tell me what and where. I'll be your hands, because yours look a bit unsteady." The chip was nestled in its proper place and what it was taking from him was far more than she had expected. "Thanks," she said quietly. "Let's see if this is all worth it, shall we?"

“…and that’s about the time I finished my Level 5 exams at the Imperial Academy. Very prestigious academic achievement that, not every sentient who goes to the Imperial Academy attains a level five grade you know. Of course by then I was well on my way to being singled out for my impressive intellect. Have you ever travelled on a KDY 500x-P? Not that shoddy muck about 500x-G mind you, not worth the durasteel it’s made of that’s for damn sure. The 500x-P was a project I worked on first month out of the Imperial Academy, some of my finest work there. The curve of the bowl, the elegant lines of the seat! The little handle you have to twerk to work it!” Beswick took another drink the refilled drink that Tav had been feeding him, his eyes wandering as much as his slurred speech allowed “Why without me the waste disposal system on the 500x-P wouldn’t be able to tell garbage apart from…apart from…a 500x-P!!”

He suddenly went red, snorting in a utterly childish giggling fashion that made the rest of his drink, which was really four shots of something poured into one large glass, slosh onto the floor. He frowned, as some part of his level headed self-tried to regain control. He looked worriedly at Tav, who he had slouched against.

“I think I might have had a touch much.” He confided in a stage whisper, before eyeing the two unconscious bodyguards “And they have too! It’ish a really par-tay now!”

TAG-Tav and Shadow, either one of you can feel free to improvise what to do with Beswick. But let us consider that the man has designed a space toilet…huum. Could a man with U-bend on the brain create a device like the Night Witch?

Dexon watched the scene unfolding, and moved slowly to the door with his very alcoholic drink the server had given him. In truth he wasn’t much for fancy drinks, he was a simple man with simple tastes: credits, whisky, and the satisfaction of honest graft. But this was not just any sort of drink, this was a Jägerbomb. By now the four gems he had snapped off their rings were resting at the bottom of the glass, their once sharp faces now more rounded and sprouting nebulous tendrils as the alcohol reacted with their chemical makeup. The jewelry he had worn would have appeared to any close examination like costume jewelry, the sort of finery the aristocrats put on to keep the expensive stuff safe from harm. And if you compared the price of the real stones to these ones, well, one set would be a lot more expensive.

And those one were resting still on his fingers, and in the drink itself.

He stood by the door, away from the small crowd surrounding Tav and Beswick, and smiled knowingly at the two Stormtrooper’s positioned on the far side of the door. For the barest moment Dexon felt a pang of something alien in his chest as he pondered the faces beneath that armor: did they have wives, children, were these good people working for despicable souls? This feeling resolved itself into pity, a utterly alien concept to the false talker. He resolved his moral quandary by smiling at the nearest Trooper, and tossing his drink at the man’s feet.

There was enough time for the trooper to begin to mouth an exclamation, but in the time it took him to draw in a breath the now thickening gel like concoction in the glass was interacting fully with the air. Kept in a nice level glass it was perfectly safe to handle, but agitate and expose more surface area to an oxygen rich atmosphere…

The gel hit the deck by the trooper’s foot, seeming to congeal into a rubbery green ball with sparkling flecks of light bouncing around inside it. Then it exploded into a growing pillar of emerald flame. Dexon had already rolled back around the door as the Trooper was flung back, the front of his armor scorched black and melted in places. The concussive ‘WHOMP!’ of the pyrotechnic assault threw the other Trooper away, and in the process set off the fire alarm in the corridor. A heavy blast door slammed shut, sealing off the ball room and its guests. The flames would keep on burning for a good long while, and may the Force be with anyone who tried to use suppressor foam on it. If they were lucky the door’s exterior seam would become warped and unmovable.

Dexon turned back to the crowd, and put on his largest grin possible.

“Ladies and gentleman of Kuat.” He said proudly, before extracting the delicate looking hold out blaster from the place no one thought to look for it “This is a robbery.”
