Tegau grinned at him. "Just looking to wind down a little. Maybe- I think we could all use some relaxation. Anything fun you know of on the Starbase?"
Brian nodded, they had been through a lot recently. A chance to recuperate, or at least escape for a while.
"How about a movie?" he suggested.
OOC - Sorry, I've been away for the weekend and only just catching up on myself. If you'd like to jp, Facebook Messenger or Google+ might be easier...

Re: Mission 7, Day 1
Brian nodded, they had been through a lot recently. A chance to recuperate, or at least escape for a while.
"How about a movie?" he suggested.
"What are they showing? Any chance there's a showing of the Pirates of Penzance?" Tegau asked with a grin. "Oh, otherwise I think I heard about a lecture on ethnobotany."
"A lecture?," that sounded a bit too serious to Brian. "I'd prefer a most ingenious paradox, given the choice."
"Well you can't go wrong with a paradox- unless it's a real life one!"
Brian shuddered. "The way our lives go, it might just happen... OK, maybe something a little less fate-tempting, then. Any live music on?"
"Hmm, good idea. I didn't take a look at the options." She paused at a console and brought up the Starbase information. "Hmm... Looks like there's an orchestral performance, some sort of historical polka exhibition.... Or we could go to a bar and listen to some bad karaoke."
"There's such a thing as good karaoke...?" Brian wasn't sure he'd ever experienced any. "Go on then. I could do with a laugh."
Tegau laughed. "I haven't heard good karaoke either- I was being redundant. Still, there's a first time for everything!"
She walked with Brian until they found a suitable looking bar and an empty table. "We're so classy," she grinned.
OOC a jp by Tegau and Brian. Any requests for the karaoke?

Re: Mission 7, Day 1
A six foot tall, brunette man with a short cropped hair style stepped up to the microphone for kareoke. Leyla recognized him immediately, though it appeared that he did not see her. He picked up the microphone and stated, "This is for a woman who will be leaving shortly on the America. It is an ancient earth song by REO Speedwagon called, 'I can't fight this feeling.'"
The music started and he gripped the microphone with both hands, as if his life depended on holding tightly to it. Looking down, he reached into his diaphragm and out rang a practised, clear tenor voice:
I can't fight this feeling any longer
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship, has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
I tell myself that I can't hold out forever
I said there is no reason for my fear
Cause I feel so secure when we're together
You give my life direction
You make everything so clear
And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window
On a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars, forever
Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
And if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crashing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running round in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl
Cause you take me to the places that alone I'd never find
And even as I wander I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold, dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for

And throw away the oars, forever

When it was done, O'Connor sprang upon Pendragon and Delaney. She seemed unusually cheery, something most people on America never saw from the Captain. Reaching her arms around both of them, she asked, "What are you two love birds doing?" O'Connor knew that this would likely get some sort of rise out of Pendragon. But, did he not still deserve it after the mess he made with the Huanni?
tag - Tegau and Brian
Still grinning, O'Connor replied, "I've got our new orders. We leave in 48 hours or less. What say both of you?" Her voice was still unusually cheery and her crooked smile was widening and enlarging by the millisecond.
